the period. The bike was never

only became a conversation

The 1965 Murray Wildcat was a instant
hit. Here is a nice example of un-restored
original. Murray also sold these to other
stores which re-badged them as their
own.

The Schwinn Stingray after being around
a year and a half finally started to
develop into its own. Schwinn added a
cool Springer fork, and called it a Super
Deluxe. You might also note Banana seat,
and high loop sissy bars.

Most kids in small town America had
a western Auto nearby. Western
Auto sold western Flyer bicycles, and
accessories. The cool thing about
western Flyer was that you could buy
many different manufactured bikes
there, but all have the same badges
and names. They sold bikes made by
Murray, Huffy, AMF, and others.

The 1965 Huffy had not changed much since
1963 Penguin brought us High Riser bikes, but
still a cool example. The added a few new
candy colors, and a new Deluxe model with
fenders and hand brakes.
