Schwinn Introduces their
Stick Shift!
Evolution of the High Rise Bicycle 1966
1966 Was a great year at Huffy.
They added a new frame called
the Rail. This was the first REAL
design change since they began
high Rise bikes in 1963. The
frame was longer than a
standard frame and could
accommodate taller riders than
many other 20" bikes of the time.
Bikes like this Western Flyer Badged
buzz Bike were ripping up the streets
across the USA.
This bike was built by Murray
Manufacturing, and sold through
Western Auto Stores.
